Creating a new standard for recovery.

RecoveryAI is pioneering digital health innovation, using advanced predictive AI to deliver personalized support that prevents relapse before it starts.

Why we built RecoveryAI

In 2005, our founder, Tim Hillegonds, stood in a bar in downtown Chicago, newly out of rehab, debating whether to call his dealer.

He made the call. His dealer didn’t answer. That missed call—an interruption at precisely the right moment—changed everything.

Tim left the bar and never drank again.

This moment clarified a critical insight: recovery can’t be left to luck. Tim realized that to truly change outcomes for millions struggling with substance use, we needed to build smarter, more proactive systems.

That's why we founded RecoveryAI.

RecoveryAI is a company dedicated to reinventing recovery from the ground up—using predictive AI, behavioral science, and human-centered technology to proactively support long-term sobriety.

Because recovery shouldn’t depend on luck.

Now it doesn’t have to.

Redefining the future of recovery

Most recovery methods are still based on reactive, decades-old approaches—addressing relapse only after it happens, with static tools and generic resources.

RecoveryAI is pioneering a predictive, proactive model for recovery, combining behavioral science, advanced AI, and real-time adaptive interventions. We’re building an entirely new ecosystem designed to anticipate relapse, personalize support, and fundamentally shift outcomes.

Because the world doesn’t just need better recovery—it needs smarter recovery.

The technology behind RecoveryAI

RecoveryAI products are built on a foundation of innovative technologies, advanced methodologies, and clinical insights, designed to predict and proactively prevent relapse—at scale, and with a human touch.
