The Opportunity
This is your chance to join RecoveryAI as the founding AI/ML leader, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of addiction and mental health recovery. You’ll have direct ownership over groundbreaking AI systems, predictive analytics, and personalized interventions that have the potential to significantly reduce relapse rates and change millions of lives. This role offers both deep technical challenges and meaningful, real-world impact—building the innovative solutions that will define the next generation of digital therapeutics.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI systems, including predictive relapse prevention, digital phenotyping integration, and real-time adaptive interventions.
Develop and optimize NLP-driven conversational AI to power Ebby’s proactive, personalized user interactions.
Architect scalable LLM and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for continuous improvement of personalized interventions and content.
Ensure seamless integration of biometric and wearable technologies, creating a robust system that dynamically assesses relapse risk based on behavioral and physiological signals.
Drive the technical roadmap, aligning product development with clinical validation, regulatory pathways, and strategic commercialization, including eventual FDA Digital-Therapeutic clearance.
Build and mentor a high-performing AI/ML team, fostering an innovative and collaborative environment.
Collaborate closely with product, clinical, and executive teams to ensure ethical, responsible AI use and rigorous data privacy standards.
Qualifications
MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.
Proven track record designing, deploying, and scaling production-grade ML and NLP models, ideally within healthcare, digital therapeutics, or similarly regulated industries.
Deep expertise with predictive modeling, natural language processing frameworks, and real-time adaptive intervention systems.
Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), including familiarity with secure, HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
Strong experience in data privacy, security best practices, and regulatory frameworks relevant to healthcare technology (HIPAA, FDA guidelines).
Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking in technical roles within startups or high-growth technology environments.
Passionate about leveraging advanced AI technology to drive meaningful, measurable social impact.
